well of course this is the best, but the body is the same. thats the point.. i just didnt think white was the most flattering color to try to show the curves it has

white is an odd color. I usually hate it but on a few cars it shines. If this car were rental white I would agree, but accentuating the rear cove with the blue, the stripe and the lower rockers in that blue bring it out. On my ur-quattro it looked like a big refrigerator, even with the fender flares and all until I broke it up with the rings on the lower door skins. Just that touch brought everything back out. To each their own!

(props for owning a ur-quattro)
I love white, its the color im painting my Fc, but i realize that the fc is a boxyish car, with more lines than curves, so whites fine. but i dont really like it on say a Fd Rx7, it just kills it (unless its a pearl or something). The corvair is somewhere in the middle, its got a prominent line but curves leading up to it, so id choose a nice metallic for it

friend of mine has a red convertible Corvair Corsa turbo, that color doesnt suck either on the 'Vair! Brings out the lines just fine. I also saw a 2nd gen Monza vert in dark green that was rad (in a boneyard but the lines were clean)

yea red would work for me if i didnt just hate red hahaha.. i think ideally id do a blue, silver, or deep purple coupe

Plum Crazy on a 2nd gen 'vair would be something phenomenal

Not even close.

Disagree. However that is a very nice looking car.

Broken left rear suspension, or left rear tire in a pot hole?

I guess the parking lot it is in has some slope to it. more pictures

hahaha i think i agree, but "The Gen 2 Corvair is the second most beautiful american car ever made" doesnt have the same ring... though with that, i can justify it as being cleaner then the C2, and possibly more timeless because of it

Very nice, though I agree about the C2 vette.
Also holy cow, corvairs in decent condition go for next to nothing. Why?

I dont know, but thats what started this whole thing.. im saving my pennies hahahahah, id love one!

I think if I bought one I'd swap in a V8 with more power. But a couple very nice looking examples (at least from the distance of craigslist) are in the $2.5-5k range.
That seems super cheap, even if it isn't a popular muscle car like the chevelle.

And also the only classic American car I would ever buy.

They still have that bullshit unsafe at any speed stigma. One of the best classic bargains left imho.

Any truth to it? Hm

Not really after the 64 redesign. And even the early ones aren't that bad.

Oh absolutely. me too

Well I'd buy a nice Lincoln Continental any day.

I dunno if it is the landyacht size, but cars like that turn me off.
